artist biography

Indra Marcinkeviciene

Lithuanian contemporary artist, interior and furniture designer working across textile art, sculptural objects, installation, and conceptual design.

Born in Vilnius, Lithuania, Indra Marcinkeviciene developed an artistic language rooted in emotional symbolism, material experimentation, and a strong sensitivity to colour and form.

Indra Marcinkeviciene

has an exclusive personality. She creates vibrant, colourful, unconventional and decorative interior and provides variation of contrasting colouring and fabric solutions, combinations of geometrical and streamlined forms, and has acquired a vibrant and exclusive style.

She is identifiable, which says a lot about her as an author. While involved in the field of interior design, Indra Marcinkeviciene is very close to various art forms (both, visual and applied), thus furniture design came as a natural thing.

"It is never enough"

My brand name is "It is never enough". In Lithuanian it has a somewhat negative connotation. In English it sounds more solid. It's the same thing as climbing the mountains - searching for perfection. But perfection has no limits!

To my mind, art and design are boundless and unrestrained. And good interior is certainly an ARTWORK! But it is only my subjective opinion.

Material Language

Working across textiles, furniture, collage, and mixed-media installation, Marcinkeviciene transforms everyday materials into expressive objects. Her practice is marked by bold contrasts, layered textures, and emotionally charged colour compositions.

Inner Worlds

Her works explore memory, femininity, spirituality, human vulnerability, and psychological states. They often become poetic and surreal visual narratives where personal experience, mythology, dreams, and collective memory meet.

Between Art And Design

Her projects blur the boundaries between fine art, design, and object-making, creating immersive environments that combine softness, monumentality, intimacy, and symbolism.

Exhibitions

Over the years, her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Lithuania and internationally, including France, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the United States.
